Methodology

ClaimWatch combines official consumer protection sources with search trend signals. Google Trends or CSV trend exports help identify what consumers are searching for, while FDA, CPSC, FTC, USDA FSIS, NHTSA, and other sources provide factual verification.

Publishing rules

Official source matched pages may be marked active or verified. Trend-only pages stay in monitoring status until a trusted source is attached.

Update process

The crawler can run on a schedule, fetch trend data, ingest official records, update JSON data, rebuild static pages, and refresh sitemap, RSS, API, and llms.txt files.
